Jackson+Rigg provides independent Level 2 Home Surveys and Level 3 Building Surveys across Central, South and West London.
With over 25 years’ experience of London residential property, we inspect houses and flats of all ages, including period properties, converted buildings and homes that have been extended or altered.
Our reports are clear, detailed and easy to understand, with practical advice on defects, repairs and any further investigations that may be required. Your surveyor will also be available after the report is issued to discuss the findings and answer any questions.
Level 2 Survey, also known as a Home Survey Level 2.
A Level 2 Survey uses an easy-to-understand traffic light system. The report describes each element of the property, identifying defects, risks and potential legal issues. These are highlighted with recommendations for further investigation, together with advice on repairs and ongoing maintenance.
A Level 2 Survey is suitable for:
+ Houses and flats which are less than 100 years old
+ Properties built of conventional materials
+ Properties without major alterations or extensions
+ In reasonable overall condition

Level 3 Survey, also known as a Building Survey.
A Level 3 Survey is our most comprehensive level of inspection. It provides an in-depth description of the construction and condition of the property, identifies visible defects, considers potential hidden problems and gives advice on repair options and the likely consequences of inaction.
A Level 3 Survey is recommended if the property is:
+ Over 100 years old
+ Dilapidated or in need of significant repair
+ Properties that have had significant alterations or extensions
Regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and members of the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA). Our detailed, high-quality reports provide clear advice and peace of mind during the buying process.
